On Tuesday, the father and former manager ofBeyoncé, posted a sweet tribute to his granddaughterBlue Ivy, 12,on Instagram. Sharing a photo of the preteen performing during her mom’s Renaissance tour, Knowles praised Blue Ivy’s work ethic in his lengthy caption.
“I want to take a moment to appreciate the amazing determination and willingness to learn that you displayed,” Knowles wrote. “Your excitement for life and your eagerness to soak up knowledge and new experiences is truly inspiring.”
“You have already shown the world that you are a force to be reckoned with, and I have no doubt that one day you will continue to astound us all.”

Writing that it’s clear she has the “extraordinary Knowles spirit,” Knowles added that he’s confident she’ll find her true passion in life.
“I also want to encourage you to never be afraid of exploring new opportunities. The world is full of endless possibilities, and I hope you are brave enough to step outside of your comfort zone and seize the chances that come your way,” the proud grandfather continued.
“Always be open to new experiences, for they have the potential to broaden your horizons and lead you to uncharted territories.”

In July, Blue Ivy’s grandmaTina Knowles-Lawsontold PEOPLE thather granddaughter’s confidence had soared “to the sky”since her first performance.
“She is 11 years old, and she had one week to prepare, and she’s just getting better and better,” said Knowles-Lawson, 70. “So I’m the proud grandma, always.”
“This is a heels family. You’re trained early to walk in heels,” she joked, before adding of Blue Ivy, “She’s having the time of her life, and I couldn’t be more proud of her because she really worked hard.”
