Two men in their 70s may have been testing out new equipment when they were involved in a deadly diving accident off the coast of Massachusetts.
During their investigation, authorities determined that a second diver was missing. Police said the second diver, identified as 78-year-old Richard Brady, of Hampton, N.H., was later found dead in the ocean off Front Beach.
It is unclear why or how the two divers died.
“My dad died doing something that he absolutely loved with his brother-in-law that he absolutely loved,” said Miller.

Alan Leao Jr. said his father, who was a Brazilian immigrant, and uncle traveled all over the world to do dives. “These two were a pretty awesome duo,” he remarked, according toWHDH.
“They were doing things that their bodies probably wouldn’t want them to do,” he said. “But they did them because they were determined and they were competitive and they wanted to be out.”

Police said there are no apparent signs of foul play in connection with the divers’ deaths. An investigation is ongoing.
“This is a tragedy for the two families who have lost their loved ones,” Chief Horvath said in a statement. “We grieve with both families and send our deepest condolences.”
