They struck up a romance after making the 2011 movieWanderlustand gotengaged in 2012. Three years later, they tied the knot in abackyard ceremonyin August 2015.
In February 2018, Aniston and Theroux announced their breakup, sharing in a statement, “This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”

Theroux opened up about the “heartbreaking” split later that year, tellingThe New York Timesit was “kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity” between them.
“It was heartbreaking, only in the sense that the friendship would not be the same, as far as just the day to day,“The Leftoversactor added at the time. “But the friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we’re both very proud of.”
Aniston has worked with Bateman numerous times over the years, including onThe Switch,The Break-Up,Horrible Bosses,Horrible Bosses 2andOffice Christmas Party. She told PEOPLE in 2016that she considers her frequent costar “like family that I actually have a really good relationship with.”

“Never say never, but I don’t have any interest,” Aniston said about getting married again. “I’d love a relationship. Who knows? There are moments I want to just crawl up in a ball and say, ‘I need support.’ "
“It would be wonderful to come home and fall into somebody’s arms and say, ‘That was a tough day,’ " she added.
