Time and time again , Gary Oldman prove there ’s nothing he ca n’t do . However , his latest labor takes that statement to a whole Modern level . He is co - writing a Holy Scripture called lineage Riders which will “ reinvent the principle and reality of vampires and gender and the power of love . ”
“ The power of love , ” huh ? It ’s a funny thing , and that citation is from Oldman ’s long - time managing director and co - writer on Blood Riders , Douglas Urbanski . He spoke to Deadline about the project :
Back in 2009 when Gary was filming Book Of Eli , we came up with this account that had to do with vampires . Whether it might be a film , a series of books or a TV show , we did n’t stereotype it but we but buzzed by the idea . We meet several time in my kitchen , mapped out the account and where it would go , reinventing the rules and reality of vampires and sex and the top executive of love . There were rabbit track that went nowhere , but we concluded that we had landed on something we had n’t seen done before .

Well , after having a bunch of book publishers bite on the mind , Oldman and Urbanski signalize a deal with Simon and Schuster with the aim to publish stemma Riders in Spring 2016 .
alas , there are n’t many clues of what they mean by redefining the “ rule and realities ” of lamia . evenfall did that too , and it was n’t necessarily well - received among hardcore lamia lover . You have to think , though , Gary Oldman is n’t going to make vampire twinkle .
One figure Oldman and Urbanski are n’t redefining is an eye on the future . They want to make Blood Riders a trilogy :

First concern is to make indisputable the Word of God comes out and is really good and we are plan a series of three of them . The first one ends leaving you needing to know what becomes of Magnus , the hero who had a curse localise on him by a lamia .
