io9 is excited to denote that Opus Publishing , the publication arm ofIncendium , will debut Bill & Ted Roll the Dice # 1 on June 14 . Set after the effect of Bill & Ted ’s Bogus Journey , the storyfollows the Wyld Stallyns as they ’re send backto hell , this fourth dimension by Satan himself . There , they ’ll have to playact a fantasy RPG ( think Dungeons and Dragons , Bill and Ted - style ) to spare the band and their souls . Along they right smart they ’ll go into their old pal Joan of Arc , occultust Aleister Crowley , and many others including , we kid you not , Doctor Feelgood . Mötley Crüe air guitar !
“ For the first plot line , we wanted something that had n’t been done in the comics before , that was a burst for the geological era yet still relevant today , and that had — as with all things Opus — a potent musical connection , ” he state , “ During those class , I spent many hours playing tabletop RPGs , and D&D has never been more popular than today . The ‘ 80s also spawned the Satanic Panic , when parent and religious groups railed against those games , and gravid metal music , of course of instruction . ”
