Dogs are officially good luck.
A pet parent in China claims that her golden retriever grabbed a scratch-off lottery ticket that turned out to be a winner, according toUnited Press Internationaland Singapore outletAsiaOne.
After following her pet into the store, Lin discovered that the canine had sunk its teeth into a scratch-off lottery ticket, UPI and AsiaOne reported. And, because the pet left tooth marks on the ticket, she was forced to purchase it.
Thankfully, however, the debacle turned out to be a fruitful one!
The golden retriever’s selected ticket turned out to be a winner, and Lin walked away with a $139 prize, per UPI.
“I was so surprised. I’ve never won such a large sum of money in a lottery,” Lin said of the incident, per AsiaOne.
Lin tested the golden retriever’s luck the following day (on purpose this time!), taking the canine back to the same shop.
The pup selected another winner the second time. The second ticket had a smaller prize of just over $4, according to UPI.
Lin decided to walk with her winnings — and use the money to buy some treats and canned food for the pup, the outlets said.
