This Boba Fett Lego costume , created byDented Helmetmember CGS1 for his 6 - year - sure-enough Logos , is one of the more technically telling cosplays we ’ve seen in some time .
A in writing designer for almost 20 twelvemonth , CGS1 spared no detail in the universe of the blockish turnout , which is all but indistinguishable from an embiggened Boba Fett minifig ( From the9496 Desert Skifflego set , specifically . That ’s it in the top image , on the right , for acknowledgment . )
“ The entire costume is work up from scratch using photo references and scans I took myself , ” CGS1 writes atThe Dented Helmet . “ The costume is built in the first place out of sintra with pink insulation foam used to cut up the helmet noggin and a small amount of plastazote foam used on the tips and foundation of the jetpack rockets . ” Which jetpack , it bears mentioning , is removable – just like the one on the minifig .

CGS1 goes into some item on the figure process over at The Dented Helmet , where you’re able to see the project come up together over several stages . Here ’s the first of three “ making of ” posts on the helmet alone :
All element of this costume were approached the same mode – picture , measurements , 2D drawing , scale , proportions . I used Adobe illustrator to hash out analogue lottery of the helmet . Once I had the right size of the dome , I was able to start . After a duo miscarry attempts at create the attic with plastazote froth ( making wedges to form the dome ) I decided to cut up it the old way fashion and simply used pinkish insulant foam from Home terminus . Once I nail the dome , I began build the helmet using the aerial mount as my anchor point . I used a heat gun to regulate and form the sintra , and paste layer to make the inside information throughout the helmet . After a few rescript ( the dark green concave subdivision was n’t deep enough and I had to remake it ) the helmet was quick for bondo glazing putty . I use this to fulfill the seams and rough spots in parliamentary procedure to achieve a seamless charge plate molded look , much like a Lego minifigure .
splendid , splendid job . Many more details over at The Dented Helmet .
