From Italian artistGiuseppe Colarussocomes an off-the-wall collection of both hand-crafted objects and digital creations that he distinguish as “ unlikely … but not unacceptable . ”

Each of the items featured in the serial ( an ongoing project that Colarusso has titled “ Improbabilità , ” or “ Improbability ” ) , is marvelous for a different grounds . Some , like the monocular specter feature up top , are n’t implausible on account of their design , but because their quarry demographic is itself rare or fantastic ( though I imagine there is the question of how these specs would be supported on the wearer ’s face ) . Other objects , like this flaccid - handled cutlery , on the other hand , are in fact unserviceable , ordinarily whimsically so .

Still more object are ego - get the better of , ego - forfend , ironic , absurd or just silly – but almost all of them will make you turn back and think about their overplus . This , Colarusso tells io9 via electronic mail , is the breaker point . He says he like to think of his workplace as “ surreal still - biography , ” and while he readily take there ’s a lot of humour in his work , there ’s also “ something serious [ about the ] paradoxes of modern times . ”
