Captain America was n’t exactly on the sideline in Avengers : Infinity War , but for a character of his grandness , he surely played a small role . According to Infinity War and Endgame writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely , thiswas done on intent .
“ When I was lecture about [ Infinity War ] , I very often said that sometimes we gave ourselves permit to secernate more story for a character in Endgamethan inInfinity War , ” McFeely told io9 . “ Cap ’s a groovy instance . People counted Cap ’s line [ in Infinity War ] and he had like 20 . So Cap step forwards , as you’re able to credibly severalize , pretty dramatically in Endgame . The duad was able to balance and plot out which stories were told in each of the picture show because they developed both picture show simultaneously , outlined them together and spell them back to back . They acknowledge the conclusion of Endgame even before they started write Infinity War .
