After months of speculation about what Brian Michael Bendis was up to at DCnow that he ’s leave Marvel , the publisher announced today that Bendis is take over committal to writing responsibility for three Superman title , resurrecting Jinxworld , and launching an all - new embossment .
According toForbes , the era of Bendis ’ take on the Last Son of Krypton formally quetch off with a new narration to beincluded in Action Comics # 1000 this April , but it ’s the author ’s raw miniseries Man of Steel that will lay the base for what he has in store for Superman . The six - issue miniseries begins on May 30 and will take a look back at the last days of Krypton ’s universe and uncover a heretofore unseen villain who ’s hiding a “ terrific secret ” about the major planet ’s destruction . The series will have six coordinated pieces of cover artistic creation and be exemplify by artists include Ivan Reis , Evan “ Doc ” Shaner , Ryan Sook , Kevin Maguire , Adam Hughes and Jason Fabok .
