Roker posted acarousel of images on his Instagramof him and Roberts, 62, starting with snaps from the couple’s wedding day. One showed Roker in a tuxedo and his wife in a white dress, veil and long white gloves, another had Roberts feeding Roker a piece of wedding cake and a third pic captured the two hand-in-hand smiling directly at the camera.

The meteorologist also included photos of the couple’s children in their younger years, the couple visiting the White House at Christmastime and posing with former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, as well as a snap of the whole family — including dog Pepper — in their holiday pajamas.Roker and Roberts first met at NBC in 1990 and sharetwo children, Leila and Nicholas. Roker also has a daughter named Courtney from a previous marriage.
And theTodaystar had family on his mind when he honored his wife in the caption for his Saturday post.
“28 years ago, @deborahrobertsabc promised to be there for better, for worse, thick and thin. Good times and bad. But the greatest gift is the family she has given me. Happy Anniversary, sweetheart,” he wrote.

Roberts, meanwhile, shared her own message onInstagramalongside a collection of photos of the couple during their relationship, including a fun shot of them posing next to a cake made to look like the front page ofThe New York Times.Cute headlines were written in icing about the couple.One read, “NBC STARS TO MERGE DATELINE INVESTIGATES.” The couple met at NBC before Roberts later moved to ABC.

“Wow! It’s been 28 years,” she wrote in the caption of the celebratory post.“Beginning with a few jitters, great excitement and hearts brimming with hope, we embarked on this journey. And it has been one great adventure. This last year has taught us to cherish each moment. You are mine…I am yours. And where you are, I am too. Happy anniversary my dearest. Let’s keep making memories @alroker.”
Many of the couple’s friends and colleagues congratulated them, includingKenan Thompson,Octavia Spencer,Ally Love,Holly Robinson Peete,Audra McDonaldandLara Spencer.
FormerTodayshow hostKatie Couricwrote, “Cute couple alert!!!” on Roberts' post, prompting the anchor to respond with four purple heart emoji.
Roker told PEOPLE earlier this year thatRoberts was his major supportduring a health scare last fall.
In PEOPLE’s first-ever Love Issue in 2021, Roberts shared that her husband is a master ofromantic gestures. “He does things like he sprinkles little love notes, little cards throughout my life,” she said in a Zoom interview at the time.
In the mornings, “sometimes there’s a little card next to the coffee maker that might say something encouraging or sweet or impish or fun,” she said. “When I travel, I open my suitcase and I find one or two notes in there that he’s slipped in, or in my purse. ‘Have a great day. I’m thinking of you.’ Or an Emily Dickinson sonnet or something,” Roberts shared.
“And I’m just like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ It just touches me. And he thinks that way all the time. He’s a real romantic,” she added.
