In the episode ’s main subplots , Simmons adjusts to being home after pass month stranded on an foreign planet . And even Fitz ’s unspoilt travail ca n’t help her recover . And meanwhile , Lance Hunter and Melinda May keep on the hunt for Grant Ward , by snuff it to an cloak-and-dagger combat club where Lance needs to win some fight to prove himself to Hydra .

But whatever . ) I ’m still not 100 percent clear on why Lincoln lie with John , but they ’re in effect couple and John is ace - effusive in telling Lincoln that his casa is Lincoln ’s casa and Lincoln can drive his car , and so on .
Seems like a exercise set up to reveal that John has a secret of his own , like he ’s working for somebody , or he ’s a mutant as well . But no — John is exactly who he seems , and the surprise is that he find out Lincoln ’s mystery and reacts really badly . And then Lincoln zaps him in self - defense , and he pass of a spunk attack , give Lincoln racked with guilt .
When Coulson sets up a one - to - one meeting with Rosalind , the drumhead of ATCU , it sort of looks like he ’s go to do something extreme to protect Skye and Lincoln , and possibly pull out an ace of some sort . I was starting to roll my eyes a bit , because we already had SHIELD fighting Glenn Talbot , and then a rogue faction of SHIELD , and this seemed like it was give-up the ghost to be yet another round of “ good guys fighting each other . ” But Coulson points out that accurate same matter , and in the end , he ’s able to convince Rosalind to let him aid her . It ’s actually kind of awing to see characters who are dictated to keep from realize the same mistakes over and over — so they can make make new error instead .

But no ! In fact , she ’s worried the vena portae wo n’t reopen … because just like Jack from Lost , she has to go back .
