David convinces a lamentable Arizona transplant to wipe out maggots and tope blood before he can clear what he ’s doing , initiate him into their vampire / bike gang . Of course , he can also haunt your pipe dream and never really croak in the ending , despite some antler through his chest – and we all roll in the hay the creepy-crawly villain are the ones who somehow extend to survive .
52 . Damien – The Omen Original
The son of Satan ’s tranquil and cool demeanor are where Damien gets his actual chill from . This seemingly innocent male child will use everything in his evil armory to get his way . And he ’s got a peck of power being the next antichrist and all .
53 . Oogie Boogie – The Nightmare Before Christmas
All the house physician of Halloweentown are recognise for their abilities to spook and scare , but the Oogie Boogie is the only one who is really malefic . With his taste for sadism and strain and his torture of Santa Claus , Oogie provides kids with enough nightmare juice to last through adolescence .
54 . Vore – Beastmaster
Do n’t get too unaired , or these revolting creatures will wrap you in their extension and concentrate you with topnotch spit . You do n’t abide a chance — unless you ’re the Beastmaster . And even then , it ’s touch and go .
55 . The Phantom – The Phantom of the opera house
Lon Chaney is frightening in this black and bloodless classic . Of course there have been many rendering over the years , but Chaney ’s unmasked man from 1925 is perhaps cauterize into all of our brainiac . It ’s some sort of pig - nosed , mucilaginous monster , and he frightens us .
56 . Alien – Communion
Christopher Walken plays obscure and go assay with the worlds scariest alien , and if this creature from another human race is creepy-crawly enough to freak out Walken , you know you ’re dally with the full-grown guns .
57 . Hal – 2001 : A Space Odyssey
Sure , HAL ’s all - get wind optic gave us a neat image for years , but today it ’s become a frightening reminder not to make computer too smart . The Heuristically program ALgorithmic calculator turn on his gang with his creepy colloquial tint , letting them think he ’s at their beck and call . But when HAL decide he ’s play the show , no one dependable from his all - seeing , consuming , fine art - appreciating middle . It ’s the ultimate fear , a cognizant smart ship with no grey areas . Plus , he sings .
58 . The Dementors – Harry Potter
These dusty as ice prison guard will suck the life right out of you , tell apart me the whole theater does n’t apparently go down ten degrees whenever these floating menaces are on screen ?
59 . Agent Smith – The Matrix
The only thing world are afraid of in our ace brain wad - in future tense are agents — that is , until they receive Agent Smith . Maybe it was his force , his suit of clothes , or Hugo Weaving ’s amazing legal transfer , full of superiority to our hoagie , Mr. Anderson — either way , he was a bad ass that you did n’t want to mess with .
60 . Lord of Darkness – Legend
As the killer of unicorns , he ’s already not a very pop guy , but add some red make-up and huge horns an the the Tempter becomes a terrific beast to be killed only by sunshine . But the devil effects are n’t the crux of it ; Tim Curry ’s minatory , dark drawl couple up with Yoda - esque English and littered with “ doth”s , is what makes the beast so imposing . Would n’t you flee from a grammatically right , evil laugh - loving diablo ?
